Amid the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Assam, Assam Government has taken the decision to close all academic institutions and hostels if daily Covid-19 positive cases touch 1000 in Guwahati Metro.
Moreover, the government has also decided to cancel high school education and higher secondary final year exams if the situation gets complicated.
Taking to Twitter state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed,
“In case the daily case rate in Guwahati Metro touches 1000, the district administration has been authorized to take a decision to close down educational institutions & hostels.
