China Responses India’s Decision to Ban 54 Mobile Apps

China on Thursday criticised India’s latest decision to ban 54 Chinese mobile apps. Due to security and privacy concerns the Government of India has taken the decision.

The Commerce Ministry spokesman of China Gao Feng said that “China expressed serious concern about this decision.” According to Gao the neighbouring countries India and China are economic and commercial partners. Responding to the Indian Government’s decision said that India to improve its business environment and treat all international investors including Chineses companies, in a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory manner.
Gao Feng keeps hopes on India that India’s new step will be beneficiary for both the countries. He added that India’s every steps will be meaningful to preserve the strong growth of bilateral economy of both the countries.

54 Chinese apps include Beauty Camera, equalizer and bass booster, CamCard, Viva Video Editor, Tencnt Xriver, AppLock, Dual Space Lite among others.
It is also mentioned that since June 2020, the government has banned a total of around 224 Chinese apps.
The government of India had blocked Chinese mobile apps stating that they are “prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of the state and public order”.
