Cricketer Rod Marsh died at 74: Australia Lost Two Cricket Legends in the Same Day

Australia lost another Gem today. The former wicketkeeper Rodney Marsh passed away at the age of 74. Rod Marsh died due to a fatal heart attack. After falling ill in a car shortly after arriving in Queensland to attend a charity event Rod Marsh was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital. Marsh played 96 Tests for Australia between 1970 and 1984, scoring 3633 runs.

Today is a huge loss for Australia as the country lost two legendary cricketers in the same day. The Australian Cricket Legend Shane Warne had passed away in the same day. Affectionately known as ‘Warnie’, he was the greatest Legspinner in the Australian Cricket Team.

Shane Warne hours before his death, had condoled the death of former Australina wicket-keeper Rodney Marsh. The tweet, in which Warne expressed his sadness over the death of his compatriot, went viral after the news of his own death broke.
