Internet War : Facebook, Instagram Allowing Violent Posts Against Russians

Amid Russia-Ukraine war there is another war that is Internet war. Meta is planning to permit Facebook and Instagram users to post any type of political expression or violent speech to condemn Russian invaders. Usually such posts violate guidelines of FB or Instagram.

“Because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine we’ve got briefly made allowances for types of political expression that will usually violate our guidelines like violent speech corresponding to ‘demise to the Russian invaders’. We nonetheless will not enable credible requires violence forwards Russian civilians,” Said the Spokesperson Andy Stone of Meta.

This announcement came days after Russia blocked FB and different social media cites. It seems now there is an Internet War going on between Ukraine and Russia.

Several days earlier the European Union, US and their allies have agreed to cut off a number of selected Russian Banks from their main international payment system Swift.

Russia’s telecommunications regulator on the other hand said on Friday that it blocked access to Facebook after the world’s largest social network started to make content from Russian state-controlled media tougher to find on its platform.
