Dr. Rakhi Chaudhuri Dimino becomes the first candidate of Indian origin to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
The Indian-origin Rakhi C. Dimino is an MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology in Houston, Texas. The Houston doctor was one of the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Taking to Twitter, the MD wrote about her experience after getting the vaccine shot. She wrote, “I will tweet about how I feel every day for the next month – so follow me if you want to know about any side effects! OBGYN Hospitalists like myself are taking great care of Pregnant mamas with COVID.”

In another incident, Robert Luckey made history by becoming the first COVID-19 ICU nurse to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Robert (39-year-old) is an ICU nurse in Memorial Hermann Hospital from Fort Worth, Houston, Texas.
