Dr. Rakhi Chaudhuri Dimino becomes the first candidate of Indian origin to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The Indian-origin Rakhi C. Dimino is an MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology in Houston, Texas. The Houston doctor was one of the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Taking to Twitter, the MD wrote about her experience after getting the vaccine shot. She wrote, “I will tweet about how I feel every day for the next month – so follow me if you want to know about any side effects! OBGYN Hospitalists like myself are taking great care of Pregnant mamas with COVID.”

She also posted a video on Twitter stating, “#IGotMyShot
Super excited to have my first shot in! So excited, so hopeful! Second shot scheduled!
#CovidVaccine #HopeToSeeMyParents @obhgcares @HoustonMethodist @texmed”

In another incident, Robert Luckey made history by becoming the first COVID-19 ICU nurse to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Robert (39-year-old) is an ICU nurse in Memorial Hermann Hospital from Fort Worth, Houston, Texas.
