Indian Student Shot Dead in Canada

An Indian Student was shot dead in an incident of taking pictures in Toronto on Thursday night. The student was recognized as Kartik Vasudev, a 21 year’s old student of management in Seneca College.

Vasudev was killed after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds following a shooting at the entrance of a subway station in Toronto city in Canada while he was on his way to work.

The Indian Embassy in Toronto expressed shock over the demise of the Indian scholar and stated to offer a probable potential help within the early repatriation of mortal stays.

“We’re shocked and distressed on the unlucky killing of Indian scholar Kartik Vasudev in a taking pictures incident in Toronto yesterday. We’re in contact with the household and can present all potential help in early repatriation of mortal stays,” Indian Embassy in Toronto tweeted on Friday.

Vasuidev was sent to a hospital after the injury from several gunshots and later he died during the treatment.
Minister of External Affairs India, S Jaishankar on Saturday expressed grief over the death of Kartik Vasudev.

“Grieved by this tragic incident. Deepest condolences to the family,” Jaishankar tweeted.
