A lesson on the life of Jadav Payeng and his relationship with nature as well as an excellent example of nature conservation has been published in the 6th-grade curriculum of a school in Connecticut, USA.

Navami Sharma, resident of Jorhat Jail Road, who is working as a teacher in Connecticut, USA, informed a documentary on ‘Aranyaman’ Jadav Payeng was also shown to the students at the school last week.

Jadav Payeng is an environmental activist and forestry worker from Majuli, popularly known as the Forest Man of India. Over the course of several decades, he has planted and tended trees on a sandbar of the river Brahmaputra turning it into a forest reserve.
