The Chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Assaduddin aowaisi rejects Z-category security with CRPFG commandos.
It was noted that Assaduddin Owaisi was attacked while returning to Delhi after campaigning in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. Around 4 rounds of firing were launched at the vehicle of Owaisi and 3-4 men fled leaving weapons behind. The Government decided to provide him with Z category security. But later that day the AIMIM Chief declined the Z-category security saying that instead of it he wants to be an A category citizen.
It is mentioned that in India security details are provided to some high risk individuals and these security is divided into 6 tiers: SPG, Z+ (the highest), Z, Y and X. The Z category security is a security detail of 55 personnel including 10+ NSG commandos and police personnel.
