A Pakistan International Airlines pilot refused to fly the plane mid-journey because his shift had ended. Due to bad weather, the plane that was scheduled to land in Islamabad made an emergency landing in Dammam. It is not everyone’s favorite task to work after working hours. But not everyone has the courage to refuse to work after the work shift has ended.
The pilot of a Pakistani airline refused to complete a flight because his shift ended after the plane had to make an emergency landing. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the country’s national carrier, was scheduled to depart Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for Islamabad on Sunday. As a result of the pilot’s reasoning for not flying the plane to its destination, the passengers on the flight became irritated. The passengers refused to leave the plane in protest. In the end, the airport authorities had to call in security to control the situation. Passengers were provided with hotel accommodations. The passengers would land in Islamabad the same day by 11 pm. Last month, a group of passengers was trapped on a British Airways flight for over five hours after their pilot tested positive for Covid-19. In the end, the test was incorrect.
