Russia School Shooting Leaves 13 Dead; Gunman Dies Himself

Russia School Attack: According to officials, nine persons were slain in this incident, including two instructors, two security guards for the school, and five youngsters. According to the interior ministry of Russia, the incident left over 20 people hurt.

 

In a shooting at a school in the central Russian city of Izhevsk, at least 13 people were murdered, including five children, according to investigators on Monday. The Russian Investigative Committee stated in a post on Telegram that “nine persons were killed due of this crime, including two security guards of the educational institution, two instructors, as well as five youngsters.” The statement also stated that the assailant “committed suicide.”

 

Investigators said that the man had no identification on him and was donning a black top with Nazi emblems and a balaclava.

 

His identification is now being confirmed, according to the detectives.

 

According to the interior ministry of Russia, the incident left over 20 people hurt.

 

Alexander Brechalov, the region’s governor, acknowledged “casualties and wounds among youngsters” in a video message outside Izhevsk’s school No. 88.

 

In the backdrop, rescue and medical personnel could be seen at the site, some of them were carrying stretchers as they ran into the school.

 

Izhevsk, a city with a population of around 630,000, is the regional capital of the Udmurt Republic of Russia and is situated about 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) east of Moscow.
