The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for evacuating Bangladesi students from war-torn Ukraine.
The ongoing Indian operation “Operation Ganga” That has successfully rescued Indians from Ukraine. Among the Indian students there were 9 Bangladeshi that were rescued by Indian flight. Along with the Bangladeshi students there were Nepalese and Tunisian as well as Pakistani students also. The Pakistani student rescued by Indian Embassy is now in her way to Western Ukraine for further evacuation.
Since February 22 India has successfully evacuated nationals, students from Ukraine but was having difficulty in evacuating Nationals from Easter part of the country. In the northeastern city of Sumy, nearly 700 Indians had been stranded and were unable to leave despite repeated attempts.
The Russian Embassy in India provided a list of a “humanitarian corridors” that would help all the 694 Indians stranded in Sumy to leave Ukraine.
It is also mentioned that the Pakistani student named Asma Shafique thanked the Indian Embassy in Kyiv and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for evacuating her.
