Dr Madhushree Das took over as dean of Gauhati University’s (GU) faculty of sciences on Saturday. Dr Das previously served as dean of GU’s faculty of sciences and head of the University’s Geography department.
Prof. Das began her teaching career in January 1999 as a Lecturer in Geography at Cotton College, now Cotton University. She received two gold medals for her Master’s, M.Phil., and PhD in Geography from Gauhati University.
She then began working as an Assistant Professor of Geography at Gauhati University in October 2010 and was promoted to Professor in November 2017.
Madhushree Das, who once worked as an assistant professor at Cotton University, has already been involved in various important works of Guwahati University and has received a huge appreciation for publishing various research papers at home and abroad.
