Magnitude 5.6 earthquake hits Western Afghanistan

5.6 magnitude tremor shook the Western province of Badghis, bordering Turkmenistan, in the afternoon.700 houses have been damaged, transformed brick homes to rubbles.
20 more people including five women and four children have died. Five patients mostly with broken bones and fractures have been injured in the quake, said by Mullah Janas Saeqe, the head of the nursing unit at the main hospital in the capital of Badghis.


The quake was at depth of 30km (18.64 miles), according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
