Panchayat and Rural Development Minister, Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Monday announced that the Assam government will soon start a recruitment drive to fill up the 2,654 vacant post in the P&RD Department (Panchayat and Rural Development).
This announcement was made during Ranjeet Kumar Dass’ address in a press meet in Guwahati.
The recruitment will be done as part of state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s announcement of 1 lakh government jobs.

Taking to Twitter, P&RD also Twitted, “Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Shri @RanjeetkrDass addressed the press at P&RD Commissioner’s Office Panjabari. It needs to be mentioned that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier announced that one lakh youths of the state will get government employment in the first year of the BJP-led government.
