MLA Taranga Gogoi today distributed cheques to regular loan payer beneficiaries under Assam Micro Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme in Naharkatiya. MLA Gogoi distributed cheques to about 15,000 beneficiaries of the Naharkatiya constituency in the presence of Joypur Development Block Development Officer Ranjit Borgohain at the event held at the Joypur development block office under the initiative of the financial department, Assam government, and Dibrugarh district administration.
The MLA said the state government will launch a portal next April to provide relief to women who are yet to repay their loans and through that portal, the women will be able to get relief from the loans they have taken.
Similarly, MLA Tarang Gogoi distributed cheques to 141 patients of the Naharkatiya constituency in the cheque distribution program allocated by the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Fund held today.
Taranga Gogoi told reporters that since his election as MLA, he has so far distributed cheques of the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance fund to more than 700 patients in the Naharkatiya constituency where around Rs 42 lakh has been spent so far. BJP’s Jaipur Mandal Presidents Gokul Bora and Mridul Kalita along with some local people were present on the occasion.
