Assam Government in collaboration with Assam Police today burnt down seized drugs at Golaghat and Diphu.
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Police DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, and other Ministers and officers were also present during the events.
While addressing Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “I will not let Assam become ‘Udta Assam’.
In Golaghat, 802 grams of Heroin worth more than ₹20 crores, 1205 kgs of Ganja-Cannabis, 3kg/ of Opium & 2,06,906 numbers of tablets were burnt down.
In Diphu, 11.88kgs of Morphine, 3.47kgs of Heroin, 2.89kgs of Methamphetamine, 102.91kgs of Ganja-Cannabis, and 2,03,384 numbers of tablets were burnt down.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, July 18, the remaining of the seized drugs, will be burnt at Nagaon and Hojai.
