A video of Baba Ramdev threatening a reporter while asking about Fuel Price Hike has become viral on social media.
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev lost his temper on camera and lashed out at a reporter when asked about his past comments about ‘petrol prices falling to Rs 40 if the government changed in 2014’. The threatening statement of the founder of Patanjali that has been caught in camera has created sensation around the whole nation.
His previous statement to the media was that people should recognize a government that can assure petrol at Rs 40 per litre and cooking gas at Rs 300 Rs. per cylinder. But the Government he supported has now become the reason for the extreme hike of prices of LPG, Fuel, Electricity. The whole country is under a heated tension. The rapid increase of price becomes a nightmare for Indians.
Relating to the above mentioned statement of Ramdev that was aired in a news channel shortly before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections the journalist has asked Ramdev about his opinion now. Ramdev hesitating to reply his question told him that he is not a contractor (thekedar) who works under the journalist that he should answer to his question.
Ramdev, clearly upset by the question, responded, “Yes, I said it, what can you do? Don’t keep posing such queries. Is it my job as your “thekedar” (contractor) to keep answering your questions?”
Further, when the reporter asked the same question again, Baba Ramdev threatened him, saying it would be bad for him if he asked such questions again. “I made the remark. Ab kya kar lega? Chup ho ja, ab aage se puchhega to thik nahi hoga ( If you ask again, it will not be good for you.)
This comes in the wake of a sharp increase in oil prices over the last ten days. The price of LPG by 250 Rs. The 19 kg of the commercial cylinder costs 2,253 Nationwide.
In the past two months, the price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder price hiked by ₹346/cylinder. Earlier on March 1, the rate of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by ₹105 and then on March 22, its price was reduced by ₹9.
