All the commerce unions throughout the Nation have called a Nationwide strike to protest in opposition to the authorities of insurance policy. The strike begins today and will be observed for two days till 29th March.
The All India Bank Employees Association has come to support the strike against ‘anti-worker, anti-farmer, anti-people and anti-national policies of the union govt’.
The protesters have given notices to the unions in the sectors such as coal, steel, oil, telecom, postal, income tax, copper, banks, insurance among others.
The police have arranged for a travel facility to help people reach destinations like railway stations, hospitals etc.
The strike has hampered in the financial institutions as bank employees too have come down the road to protest.
Central trade unions which are part of this joint forum are INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF and UTUC.
