Arun Jaitley’s statue was unveiled at the Delhi Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on the 68th birth anniversary of the former finance minister.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly attended the ceremony at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday.

Arun Jaitley’s son and the current president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), Rohan Jaitley was also seen at the ceremony.
A six-foot-tall statue of Jaitley was erected inside the premises of the Feroz Shah Kotla. The statue costs close to Rs 15 lakh and weighs around 800kg.
Notably, former India captain and legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi had opposed the move to have the Jaitley statue erected at the Kotla.
Arun Jaitley statue was designed by the father-son Suthar duo of the Ram Sutar Art Creations Pvt. Ltd designed the world’s tallest statue Statue of Unity of Sardar Patel in Gujarat. The statue was erected near the parking area close to the Virender Sehwag Gate at the DDCA.
