Recently an image went viral on social media claiming that the HDFC bank won’t recruit students who have passed in 2021. The image claims that students passing out in 2021 are not eligible for recruitment.
Headline8 in its investigation found that the claim is false.
Claim –
Facebook page Selloi Agency, Imphal uploaded the viral image stating:
“HDFC Bank jobs…
Adubu Hairibase…Karino haibaduni
2021 Passed out Candidates are not eligible…
MaYam Mot thambi u”
Another Twitter handle, Ramanchan Shimray wrote:
“I don’t think #hdfcbank “understand our world”. Look at the job eligible. Farewell to all 2021 graduate”.

Also another Youtube profile PSV Academy uploaded a video related to the viral HDFC bank image.

Investigation–
Headline8 did a fact check on the viral image and here is what was revealed:
As part of the initial state of the investigation, a Google reverse image search was done.
During the image search, Headline8 found that the image of the HDFC bank can be traced to an image uploaded by Twitter and Facebook handler.
Headline8 also tried to reach out to HDFC bank via email and is yet to receive a statement from the bank.
At the final part of the investigation, Headline8 did a check on the Twitter, Facebook and Youtube accounts of the above mentioned.
Selloi Agency, Imphal has about 11,051 followers.
Twitter handle Ramanchan Shimray has 23 followers and has joined in April 2014.
Youtube profile PSV academy has joined in 21st April 2021.
Conclusion–
After an intense investigation, Headline8 came to the conclusion that the viral image circulating as a new HDFC bank advertisement is fake.
HDFC bank has never published such an advertisement.
