Mohit Kamboj a BJP leader offered to bankroll loudspeakers to play the Hanuman Chalisa in public places. This statement came as a remark against the Azaan-the Islamic call to prayer – championed by right-wing political leaders.
Mohit Kamboj took to Twitter, “Anyone who needs a loudspeaker to install it in a temple can ask us for free! All Hindus should have one voice! Jai Shri Ram! Har Har Mahadev!”
Mohit Kamboj who is one of the richest billionaire among the BJP leaders gave this offer amidst the remark on Azaan given by Raj Thackeray the leader of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and later the Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
It is mentioned that Raj Thackeray requested the state authorities to take away the loudspeakers from mosques and warned of “placing loudspeakers in entrance of the mosques and taking part in Hanuman Chalisa”.
Over the comment of Raj Thackery to remove loudspeakers from Mosques, Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut later on Sunday remarked that “the law of the land” prevails in Maharashtra and the Home Minister will do everything as per the law.
