“Humbly Request Protesting Farmers to Read Tomar’s Letter”: PM Modi

PM Modi urging protesting farmers

PM Narendra Modi on Thursday has urged the farmers protesting against the Farm Law to read the letter written by Union Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

The PM also appreciated the Agricultural Minister for his attempt to have a polite dialogue with the farmers through the open letter.
Taking to Twitter, Modi tried to reach the protesting farmers stating, “Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has tried to express his feelings by writing a letter to the farmer brothers and sisters and attempting to have polite dialogues. It is my humble request to all the farmers to read the letter at least once. I also urge all the people of India to share the letter with as many people as possible.”

The Union Agricultural Minister in his letter to the protesting farmers said that few political parties and unions are spreading rumors and are conspiring against the betterment of the farmers. These political parties are spreading rumors about Minimum Support Price (MSP) and farmer markets.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also retweeted Narendra S Tomar’s open letter to the farmers stating, “For the betterment of the farmers, PM Narendra Modi has done a substantial amount of work which was not even possible in ’60 years’.
I humbly urge all the farmers to read the letter to clear their misunderstanding.”

“I assure my farmer bothers that if anyone in the country thinks about your interests and can fulfill the goal of doubling your income, he is only Narendra Modi. Farmers have been looted and deprived of their rights for 60 years,” Amit Shah further Tweeted.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also took to Twitter and wrote about Tomar’s letter, “The amount of work done for the welfare of farmers by PM Shri @narendramodi ji led Govt. in the last 6 years is unprecedented in India.
This letter written by Shri @nstomar ji shows the committed mindset of the Govt. towards farmers & dispels all rumours. #ModiWithFarmers”
