The National Weather Forecasting Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura in the next five.
The IMD has predicted thunderstorms with lightning, hail and gusty winds with speeds reaching 50-60 kmph at isolated places over the region from April 8 to April 12.
