The Indian Government on Thursday has further extended the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services till December 31.
The decision to suspend the flights came in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in a notification issued the restriction order and only International scheduled flights will be allowed on selected routes on case to case basis. However, these restrictions do not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights approved by DGCA.
The DGCA in a notification stated, “In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding Scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hrs IST of 31st December 2020. This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.”
The authorities also issued the notification on DGCA’s official Twitter stating;

Earlier in November, the DCGA extended the ban on scheduled international passenger flights till November 30. India has entered into air bubble arrangements with various countries owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.
