With a very high number of COVID patients recovering every single day, India’s steady trend of posting a high level of recoveries continues.
In the last 24 hours, India has 93,420 new COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours. With this, the total is 48,49,584.
With the increase in daily recoveries, the Recovery Rate is also an upward trend. On September 26, the country has a recovery rate of 82.14 percent.
India is also maintaining its top global ranking in total recoveries with such high successive single-day record numbers. As India records more recoveries than the new cases, the gap between the Recovery and the Active Cases is continuously widening.
The recoveries from COVID-19 are more than 5 times the Active Cases.
The cases of recovery (48,49,584) exceeds the active cases (9,60,969) by nearly 39 lakhs (38,88,615).
The active caseload is not at a mere 16.28 percent of the total positive cases. The percentage of the active caseload is also on a steadily declining path.
About 24 states and Union Territories (UT) are also reporting a high number of new recoveries than the new cases. Also, about 10 states and Union Territories account for nearly 73 percent of the new recovery cases.
Maharashtra is leading with a total of 19,592 new COVID-19 recoveries.
This encouraging result is only possible due to Centre-led initiatives. The Test, Track, and Treat strategy of the Government is showing positive results in fighting the pandemic. There is an aggressive level of testing in the whole country.
The Union Government is also supporting the efforts of the states and UTs through technical, financial, and other resources.
