National: India on August 25 records the highest recoveries in a single day. A total of 66,550 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries is now more than 24 Lakh (24,04,585). This is possible only due to the various policies of the Indian Government. The government’s policy of TESTING, TRACKING, and TREATING efficiently has proven very effective.
India’s Recovery Rate amongst the COVID-19 patients is now almost 76 percent at 75.92 percent. The number of recoveries is far more than the active cases by almost 17 Lakh. Now, the number of recovered cases is 3.41 times more than the total active cases. In the last 25 days, the hike in recoveries is more than 100 percent.
The active cases are reducing and currently its only 22.24 percent. This is possible only due to the high recoveries in the country.
The Union Government, states, and UTs are focusing on the effective measures of testing. Also, the authorities are also doing surveillance and contact tracing. Moreover, isolation in-home and institutions with efficient treatment is also a reason for the positive results.
Now, the Fatality rate in India is now 1.84 percent.
In India till now, more than 3.7 Crore of COVID-19 tests have been done. In the last 24 hours, the government has done a total of 9,25,358 COVID-19 tests. The Tests Per Million have a sharp rise of 26,685.
There are now 1524 labs in India. To date, there are 986 government sector labs and 538 private labs. The labs include:
• Real-Time RT PCR based testing labs. 787 Government and 328 Private.
• TrueNat based testing labs. 493 Government and 126 Private.
• CBNAAT based testing labs. 34 Government and 84 Private.
