PM Modi’s Covid Review Meeting With Chief Ministers Hold Today

In view of the increasing Covid-19 cases in the country over the last few weeks, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi attended a virtual meeting with all the Chief Ministers on Wednesday at Noon. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Health minister Mansukh Mandavia had also attended the meeting virtually. THE health secretary Rajesh Bhushan wMADEill make a presentation regarding the alarming Covid-19 cases.

It is noted that this morning there were around 3000 cases in the last 24 hours, that was an increase of of 17 per cent from Tuesday.

On Sunday, during Modi’s ‘mann ki baat’ address to the Nation, the Prime Minister urged people to stay alert and follow Covid safety protocols, particularly during festive seasons. He reminded people to wear masks when in public or places and to use sanitizer.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also urged all countries to maintain surveillance of corona virus infections. It stated on Tuesday that the world was “blind” to how the virus was spreading because of falling testing rates.

The whole world is at a danger after the increasing of Covid-19 again. The active caseload is 15,636, while the positivity rate is 0.55 per cent, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare bulletin on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya in a tweet said that over 86 per cent of the adult population is now fully vaccinated.
