Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the seventh term on Monday afternoon. This will be Kumar’s fourth consecutive term as the CM of Bihar.
Kumar took oath in front of Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi took oath as the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar.
In the recently held Bihar elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a total of 125 seats, while the RJD-led Grand Alliance could manage to acquire 110 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) emerged as the single largest party after winning 75 seats. In the close contest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) grabbed a total of 74 seats and its ally Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) won 43 seats.
