Oil India Limited: Dr Ranjit Rath took over as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Oil India Limited. Oil India Limited (OIL) is India’s second largest national exploration and production company.
Dr Ranjit Rath, an alumnus of IIT Bombay & IIT Kharagpur, took over the CMD charge on 2 August, 2022. Dr Rath, a geoscientist is a recipient of prestigious National Geosciences Award received from the President of India. Dr Rath has an extraordinary career with impeccable experiences of more than 25 years.

Prior to joining Oil India Limited, The Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, Dr Ranjit Rath was the Chairman cum Managing Director of Mineral Exploration & Consultancy Limited under the Ministry of Mines; Chief Executive Officer of Khanij Bidesh India Limited; Managing Director of Bharat Gold Mines Limited and also held additional charge of the Director General of Geological Survey of India under Govt. of India.
