Amid the 72nd Republic Day celebration, utter chaos was observed at the Tikri border between Haryana and Delhi as Delhi Police lathi-charged the protesting farmers.
The farmers were taking out a tractor rally to Delhi after they managed to break the barricades. In addition, Delhi Police also fired tear gas shells among the protestors.
The rally began from Singhu border.
The national capital Delhi was turned into a fortification overnight with heavy security cover and deployment of thousands of police personnel on the eve of Republic Day.
