Uttar Pradesh government has ordered the District Administrations of Ghaziabad to get all the farmer protest sites near Delhi border vacated.
This order came after violence during the ‘Kisan Ganatantra Parade’ on Republic Day at several locations in Delhi.
The authorities have given them time till Thursday midnight to vacate the protest sites.
Farmers have been sitting at the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur border since November 26 as protest against the three farm laws demanding its repeal.
Earlier in the morning, there was heavy deployment of security personnel including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Rapid Action Force (RAF) at Ghazipur protest site.
Many protesting farmers alleged the use of force by police since December 19. However, all these allegations derailed after many protestors carried out violence in Delhi as they barged inside Red Fort during the tractor rally on January 26. They also vandalized public and private property while clashing with police.
Nearly 400 police personnel were injured during the violence while killing a farmer.
