In a horrendous incident, a six-year-old girl was found dead in a forested area in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. According to the police statement, the minor was gang-raped, killed and her lungs were then taken out of the corpse by two men on Diwali night.
Describing the incident, the ASP (Rural) Brajesh Srivastava said that the girl had gone missing on the night of Diwali from the Ghatampur area. The killers had removed her lungs and delivered those to key conspirator Parshuram Kuril to perform black magic.
The killers identified as Ankul Kuril (20) and Beeran (31) were arrested on Sunday while police picked up Parshuram and his wife on Monday.
On interrogation, it was revealed that Parshuram and his wife have been childless since their marriage in 1999 and they believed that eating the girl’s liver will help them have a child and persuaded his nephew, Ankul, and his friend Beeran, to kidnap the girl and remove her lungs. Ankul and Beeran, who were heavily drunk, abducted the girl while she had gone out to buy firecrackers. They took her to a nearby jungle, where they raped and killed the minor.
The four accused have been charged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
