News Desk: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results for the 2019 Civil Services examination on Tuesday. UPSC declared the results on the official website upsc.gov.in.
A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for appointment and another 182 have been put on the reserve list.
One Pradeep Singh has topped the 2019 Civil Services examination followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma.
As per early reports, Two Assamese lads have also cleared the examination. Aranyak Saikia has secured the 59th rank. Aranyak is a 2017 batch IPS officer serving in Karnataka. He is also the son of former Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia. While another Assamese Tapan Deka has secured the 766th rank. Tapan Deka is currently serving in IRS (IT).
UPSC will release the mark sheet of the qualified candidates shortly.
UPSC conducts the Civil Services exam for appointment in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Central Services Group A and Group B. A total number of 180 candidates have been recommended for IAS, 24 for IFS, 150 for IPS, and the remaining for Group and Group B Services.
The merit list was released based on a written examination and personality test, held in September 2019. The interviews for Personality Test were held in February-August 2020.
