Central Government on Thursday took the decision to postpone NEET PG 2021. NEET PG 2021 was scheduled to be held on April 18. The final NEET exam date will be decided later on.

This decision came soon after the CBSE board exams were postponed for class 12 and canceled for class 10 on Wednesday.
“In light of the surge in #COVID19 cases, GoI has decided to postpone #NEETPG2021 exam which was earlier scheduled to be held on Apr 18. Next date to be decided later.
Decision has been taken keeping wellbeing of our young medical students in mind.” Minister for Health and Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan wrote on Twitter.

The sudden rise in Covid-19 cases in the second wave made 11 states shut down their schools as of now and declare lockdowns in varying effects.
Due to the mobility issues created due to this, the NEET candidates were under a lot of pressure as many had their NEET exam centres in neighboring states instead of their home state.
