No area of West Guwahati has been merged in Meghalaya: Ramendra Narayan Kalita

West Guwahati MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita has taken special measures to improve the infrastructure of educational institutions in the Assam-Meghalaya border areas of the constituency. As part of this, the foundation stone for infrastructure development was laid today under Rani Shiksha Block and South Bholagaon Village Panchayat each of the five primary schools on the Meghalaya border. A grant of Rs 508200 has been provided for the infrastructure development of each school. MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita on the other hand laid the foundation stone. Speaking on the occasion, Rani sector Education Officer Lachit Basumtari wished MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita every rupee she gave for infrastructure development to be treated well.
MLA Kalita laid the foundation stone for infrastructure development of Manikpur Bansigopal Namghar and Futukibari Temple Namghar (Manikpur) in the area under the Assam Darpan Scheme. Meanwhile, MLA Kalita said that no area of West Guwahati has been handed over to Meghalaya.
