In a major breakthrough, the Assam Rifles carried out an operation and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition at Imphal in Manipur.
According to the official statement by the security forces, the Keithalmanbi Battalion recovered –
• One AK47
• Two CMGs
• Two 0.32 mm Pistols
• Two 0.22 mm pistols
• Eight assorted magazines with thirty-six rounds, and
• Explosives
The recovery was done from the Tmongbung Village, Imphal District in Manipur.
Taking to Twitter, the security forces informed –
“Keithalmanbi Battalion of Assam Rifles on 11 June recovers one AK47, two CMGs, two .32 mm Pistol, two .22 mm Pistol, eight assorted magazines, thirty-six rounds and explosives from Tmongbung Village, Imphal District in Manipur.”

Earlier, in another major operation, the security forces apprehended a cadre of KNA (SoO Group) from Moreh Town.
In another separate operation, the force recovered –
• one 9mm Pistol,
• two Chinese Hand grenades, and
• assorted ammunition near BP-76 in Moreh District in Manipur
