Assam Rifles on Friday recovered about 119 grams of heroin worth Rs. 4.7 lakhs and apprehended a drug peddler in Mizoram.
The seize was done from the general area Zokhawthar in the Champhai district. The arrested person along with the contraband drugs was handed over to the local police for further investigation.
Taking to Twitter, Assam Rifles informed, “#AssamRifles troops in Mizoram apprehended a drug peddler from general area Zokhawthar in Champhai district on 22 Oct recovering 119 grams of Heroin (worth approx Rs 4.7 Lakhs). Apprehendee and recovered contraband handed over to the Police.”
