Approximately 1 lakh ganja saplings were destroyed by the Border Security Force (BSF) along with the Police and forest officials in Tripura. The joint team destroyed the ganja saplings in several areas.
A police officer said, “Kalamchoura police, 74 battalion BSF and forest personnel jointly carried out an operation on Thursday in the Kalamchoura area under Sonamura sub-division of Sepahijala district.”
Bharat Debbarma, the officer-in-charge of Kalamchoura police station informed that they destroyed ganja cultivation in 12 plots of land.
As per reports, the joint team cordoned off the area and then launched the operation.
