Fans of Arunachal singer Rito Riba, who auditioned in Season 13 of Indian Idol, have urged that the singer be brought back to the reality show. Riba, a singer from Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, was denied a ticket on the popular show despite being an obvious favourite of both audiences and judges.
Fans flocked to change.org to petition for Riba’s readmission to the show, expressing their outrage and dismay at the judge’s decision not to include him in the next round.
One of the petitions asked for the return of Rito Riba as a wild card. At the time of filing this report, one petition had over 1600 signatures, while the other had over 4,000 signatures.
“Please bring Rito Riba back on public demand. We really want to see him perform,” the fans stated.
Meanwhile, Rito has expressed gratitude to his admirers on social media for their love and support.
He recently published a post in which the show’s judge, Vishal Dadlani, made Riba an offer and referred to him as a star. This post is also becoming popular on the internet.
Rito first gained attention when he began broadcasting his music on YouTube in 2014.
In 2021, he relocated to Mumbai to pursue his aspirations. He auditioned for shows to exhibit his abilities and received his big break in 2022 when he was chosen to appear on Indian Idol. He also produced an original CD for Desi Music Factory.
