In protest against alleged illegal encroachment by the people of Nagaland, various organizations based in Nagaland led by Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) on Sunday called for an indefinite economic blockade on Nagaland starting from November 17.

The blockade will prohibit the movement of all vehicles carrying essential items into Nagaland.

Alleging encroachment inside Karbi Anglong district especially in the Daldali reserved forest, the organizations have demanded a dialogue between governments of Assam, Nagaland, and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to resolve the border issue.

Meanwhile, the Jorhat unit of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has also called for an Economic blockade on Nagaland to protest against encroachment inside Dissoi Valley Reserve Forest in Mariani.
