The Conrad Sangma-led NPP government in Meghalaya has imposed a complete lockdown in the East Khasi Hills district of the state from 8 PM of May 5 to 5 AM of May 10 due to the spike in COVID-19 cases.
“In view of the prevailing #Covid situation, Govt. has decided to impose complete #lockdown in East Khasi Hills district from 8 PM of 5th May till 5 AM of 10th May 2021. Weekend lockdown will also be imposed in all districts in the State. @NHMMeghalaya @MeghalayaT”, Meghalaya CM posted on Twitter.

CM Sangma also stated that weekend lockdown will also be imposed in all the districts of the state.
