Armed miscreants shot dead three people at the Lamhainamdi village in the Peren district of Nagaland on Monday evening resulting in a hostile situation.
Reports say that in addition to the killings, the unidentified miscreants also set several houses and vehicles on fire.
The civil society organisations have called for a bandh to protest the unprecedented incident. All educational institutions and business establishments in the district will be closed across the district.
In addition, the local villagers will take out a rally along with the bodies of the deceased ahead of their burial in protest of the heinous crime.
