PLA Troops Abduct Five People In Arunachal Pradesh

The tension between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is now at its highest. Amid the tension, Congress MLA, Ninong Ering on Saturday claims that PLA troops have taken five people from Upper Subansiri district.
According to the MLA, PLA troops have abducted five boys from the Nacho village of Arunachal Pradesh.
The incident occurred in a forested area near Nacho in the Upper Subansiri district. The abducted villagers are Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker, and Ngaru Diri. They all belong to the Tagin community. As a common practice, they went out for hunting. However, two other villagers managed to escape and narrated the incident to others.

The ongoing tension between India and China escalated after China’s PLA tried to encroach into the south bank of Pangong Tso in Eastern Ladakh. On September 2, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met his counterpart General Wei Fenghe in Moscow.
The ongoing tension between India and China escalated this week after China’s People’s Liberation Army tried to intrude into the south bank of the Pangong Tso in eastern Ladakh on the intervening night of August 29 and 30. This was the first major meeting after India and China since the Galwan Valley clash in June.

According to Upper Subansiri Superintendent of Police, Keni Bagra, they have not received any formal complaint from the families of the victims. They have learned about the incident from social media and are trying to verify the case. They are also trying to contact local people.
The LAC is around 260 km from the district headquarter Daporijo. Also, the nearest police station is at Nacho which is about 130 km from Daporijo.
