Violence in election is not a new thing. In the final phase of Manipur Assembly Election 2022 a heated situation created at a school in the Karong constituency in Senapati district.
Some persons had snatched the EVM machine from the polling station and resulted police firing. One was killed in the incident named K Longvao and another was injured named V Saope who died later in the hospital.
Manipur Assembly election that started in February 28 to March 5. In the final phase of Manipur Assembly Election 22 seats went down for polling.
