Nupur Sharma Row: A Pakistani infiltrator on hunt to kill Sharma ahead of SC hearing

A Pakistani infiltrator who was allegedly planning to kill Nupur Sharma over her comments on Prophet Muhammad was nabbed by the Border Security Force (BSF). According to reports, on July 16 he came to Ajmer in Rajasthan where he was interrupted by the BSF troops. Acoording to reports, he claimed that he was sent to kill Nupur Sharma.

The Pakistani citizen was identified as Rizwan Ashraf. He was found carrying long knives and religious scriptures. According to sources, Intelligence Bureau (IB) and other agencies are interrogating the arrested Pakistani national. He was sent into custody till July 24.

Sharma’s “loose tongue” has “set the entire country on fire”

The Supreme Court on July 1,2022 criticised Nupur Sharma for her comments against the Prophet and said that her “loose tongue” has “set the entire country on fire” and that she is “single-handedly responsible for what is happening in the country”.

Former BJP spokesperson has been on the news ever since her remarks on Prophet Muhammad during a TV debate. The remarks have created violent agitations in the entire country and abroad as well.
