Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday morning has urged people to vote in large numbers in the second phase of the Assembly Election in Assam and West Bengal to strengthen the festival of democracy.
Polling began at 7 am for 39 constituencies in Assam amid tight security. In West Bengal polling for the second phase has started in 30 constituencies including high-profile Nandigram.
