Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that there is a possibility that inter-district travel between any districts of Assam may be opened after the 15th of August. The CM said that the COVID-19 situation has improved even though it is not yet possible to open inter-district travel at the moment. He, therefore, ruled out any possibilities of it to be opened before 15th August.
CM also stated that relaxation can be given for one or two days in a week after 15th August. Thereafter, a relaxation of three days or four days in a week may be contemplated. Inter-district travel may, thus, see a resumption in a phased manner. He also said that this time a lot of relaxation has been brought in.
