SEBA to declare Class 10 results on 30 July

Results will be declared soon

The Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) announced on Wednesday that Assam High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations results will be declared on July 30. The decision was taken at a board meeting held earlier today. The confirmation was given by SEBA Chairperson Chairperson RC Jain.

SEBA had earlier announced the evaluation criterion for measuring the results of the canceled board exams. Accordingly, students’ performances in past examinations and other teaching-learning activities conducted by students will be used to measure the results this year.

SEBA said Class 10 results will be calculated based on a 40:40:20 formula, where 40 percent marks will be derived from Class 9 annual exam, another 40 percent marks from Class 10 exams, and the remaining 20 percent marks will be awarded to students by schools. Schools will have to consider the results of the past three years while awarding the 20 percent marks. Variations if any, should be within 10 percent.

Last week, SEBA had ordered for re-evaluation of results after the HSLC marking scam was reported in Changsari of Kamrup. The marking work in the other districts has almost been completed and SEBA is ready to declare the results within July 31, SEBA Secy. Senapati had informed.
