Clouds of uncertainty once again envelopes the major opposition party Congress. Word is out that Congress party leader Sherman Ali Ahmed, could resign from the party. There is a high probability that today the MLA of Baghbar constituency will take his leave from the Indian National Congress Party. After his derogatory remarks that made recently during the Gorukhuti eviction about the martyrs he had to spend his time in the jail.
The state president of Co ngress party Bhupen Borah demanded a proper report behind such a derogatory move which clearly put the party in a difficult position. The last date of submission for this report was till 31st January, 2022. But he chooses to stay by his own decision.
According to sources, there is a high probability of him to resign from the party. But the fact that Bhupen Borah will not take the risk to cut his power short before the Rajya Sabha Election. Furthermore, he also once expressed to build a Miya Museum in the Sankardev Kalakhetra.
