Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha today held a special Lok Adalat in the meeting room of the DC’s office in the presence of revenue circle officers for speedy disposal of revenue and land-related issues of Kamrup city district administration.
A total of 34 complaints were taken in this special Lok Adalat. The Kamrup city district administration fixed a time frame for resolving two of these complaints on the spot while several others were settled within the next 7 days.
The special Lok Adalat was held today for the people of Sonapur, Chandrapur, and Guwahati revenue circles.
Commenting on the action taken to hold Lok Adalat, the Deputy Commissioner said that in many cases, if it is too long to resolve a matter, the public loses their confidence and confidence in the administration structure.
He expressed hope that the administration can build good relations with the people through Lok Adalat.
Firm actions were taken to resolve the allegations over 34 complaints.
